Tangquan Tourism Resort: The “Poems From Afar”

Tangquan Tourism Resort, a hospitable town with classical flavor and stories, is located in Hedong district of Linyi city. Wenshui Village Folk Park in the premise is a demonstration of the Tang and Song-styled houses. Blue-tiled, white-walled, woodcarving-windowed, these buildings show the unique aesthetics of the Chinese classical art.

Another park in the name of Guan Tang · Wenshui Village Folk Cultural Park, is a place to enjoy the real historical houses being renovated, altogether 112 buildings from Ming and Qing Dynasties. These ancient residential buildings are in the style of Hui architectural school. They are presented in five major sectors including museums, art performances and residence. The Filial Pavilion, Contract-Culture Museum, Metrology Hall, Craftsman’s Pavilion and more have become an attraction for the locals to enjoy leisure and cultural entertainment.

To welcome Shandong Province’s Quality-tourism Development Conference, Tangquan Tourism Resort has been busy optimizing the facilities and their functions. Vivid and harmonious landscapes are being cultivated. “The ancient architectural art will take you back in history with the charming Jiangnan style around you. By 2026, we anticipate more than 5 million visits. The corresponding tourism income should exceed 3 billion yuan.” Zhuang Zihao, Director of the Tourism Development for Tangquan District, said proudly.

Culture can function as the soul piece of tourism, while tourism becomes the carrier of culture. The Tourism Development Conference is also a push for Hedong District to make more efforts for the cultural tourism development, initiating a new round of upgrades.
