Linyi Hedong District: Mountains of Iron Flowers · Dreams of Langya

“Mountains of Iron Flowers · Dream of Langya” was a theme activity launched during the “Labor Day” holiday in May by Langya Ancient Town in Linyi. The attraction was huge.

The molten iron has a temperature of 1600℃. When thrown up, the iron flowers splash like stars in the sky. “This feels really good! Great experience in Langya Ancient Town!” said Cao Shuhao from Ganyu Province. “I come to Langya Ancient Town because of its reputation,” said Zhou Guangli from Jiangsu Province.

Langya Ancient Town has initiated a variety of activities to match the different needs of tourists from near and afar. Hundreds of exciting performances are held day and night. The venues include theaters, corridors, and school grounds.  The whole town has turned itself into a dazzling place for fun. There are delicacies, ancient cruise ships, Hanfu shows and other traditional or creative products, too, setting off a wave of tourism boom in Langya Ancient Town.

“It’s shockingly beautiful. The actors are professional and warm-hearted, welcoming guests from all over the world,” cheered Liu Yangyang, a local who clapped her hands so much that they turned red. Langya Ancient Town has been displaying the intangible cultural heritage show with the immersive technology, allowing the visitors to take a time travel back into the past or ahead towards the future. 

“Today I brought the pancake paintings and pancake flowers, all made of fruit and vegetable juices. I want people across the country to see the enormous amount of good things in Linyi…” said Ms Xu Haixia, founder of the unique pancake paintings.
