Encountering History: The Romance of Hanfu in Shandong Yishui

”Yue Luo garment greeted the spring breeze, and the jade-carved unicorn dotted the belt red. The front of building was sung in a fairy language, and the tent was immersing in the scent of fragrance from Sheng music“. In the ancient verses, the gorgeous teenagers were joyful in Han garment (Hanfu). In modern times, more and more young people in China are walking in the streets wearing Hanfu,  displaying an elegant beauty with self-confidence.

Recently, the first Hanfu Tour Park Show in Yishui County, Shandong Province, was opened in the Rainbow Town of Snow Mountain.  The event was hosted by Yicheng Street Administration, and carried out by the Qinqing Yimeng Cooperate and Hubeier Girls’ School.

The Hanfu Tour Park Show set up a series of the traditional etiquette displays like Hanfu dance performance, Hanfu children’s catwalk, traditional Peking opera performance, town walking, murder mystery game, poetry reading,  pot-throwing game, and eye -catching gong game, etc.. The show attracted a large number of tourists, Hanfu enthusiasts, photographers, and cultural performance lovers.

China is a country of beautiful garments and a state of rich etiquettes. Hanfu enthusiasts or passers-by tourists alike, this show is a big party for everyone to participate and to feel the attachment to the Chinese traditional culture. In the interweaving of history and modernity, this unique event was showing a unique landscape in fashion and tradition.

The Hanfu Tour Park Show in Yishui County was also a profound exploration with modern innovational attempt in order to raise the interest of probing into history and playing sports with a cultural touch. Visitors could deeply feel the unique charm of Hanfu which was conveying the cultural symbolism and spiritual value behind the garment. With the intensity and richness of the traditional Hanfu shows, the park event contributed to the promotion of the “cultural upsurge” and “fitness boom” to the new level.
