City Square Dance Performance, A Spectacular in Yimeng
Recently, the 24th Square Culture and Art Festival in Linyi’s Hedong District was opened. At the launching ceremony, the so-called “Dance Yimeng” Square Dance Performance with its dynamic music and cheerful dance steps attracted many to stop and enjoy.
“We danced ‘the Yellow River flows in front of my house’. To be able to represent our team in participating in the competition, I feel excited and happy. We have always liked this dance.” Ms Wang Lixia, a plaza dancer, said in joy.
Ms Wang Yue, a local, took her child with her to cheer for the performance. She participated in the competition, too. “You see so much crowd here. And the lighting show brings everyone into the cheerful atmosphere. I love such venue! And I’m sure this festival will be more and more successful!”
The theme of this art festival is “civilized rural style, good family style, modest people style”. Two months long will the festival last, staging to enrich the cultural life of the locals.
Mr. Chen Zongsheng, deputy curator of the Municipal Cultural Museum and chairman of the Municipal Musician Association, said in an interview that the festival aims to discover artistic talents among the grassroots, thus further enrich the cultural life of the normal citizens.
