Linyi’s Traditional Hand-Made Cloth Tigers and New Year’s Wooden Paintings Travelled to Seoul, South Korea

Recently, Linyi’s traditional hand-made cloth tigers and New Year’s wooden paintings travelled to Seoul, South Korea, adding a strong Chinese cultural color to this vibrant city. The aim of cultural exchange with handicraft gifts, realized through (Zhu) Sun Travel, is to deepen the friendship and understanding of the two peoples.

As famous traditional Chinese folk toys, cloth tigers are the mascot of auspiciousness and disaster-avoidance. The symbolism is loved by the Koreans. The wooden version of the New Year’s painting with its bright colors, rich patterns and unique production techniques, shows the superb skills of traditional Chinese artform, and conveys the message of the yearning and pursuit of the Chinese people for a better life.

Huang Jing from (Zhu) Sun Travel said, “Now we understand the meaning of the cloth tigers and the New Year’s wood paintings, which are all treasures of traditional Chinese culture. They not only represent the rich folkart in Linyi, but also bridge the people of China and South Korea!”

The continuous deepening of Chinese and Korean cultural exchanges will offer more Chinese traditional elements to the South Koreans, bringing more surprises and touching moments for the people of the two countries to write new chapters of friendship between the two countries.
